Ballast Announces Two New Additions to the Team

Since our founding, our vision has remained steadfast: build a team that we would want to advise our own families. As we continue to grow, we’re excited to welcome two talented individuals to the team who bring unique experiences, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to serving our clients well.

Jake Nahra, Intern

Jake Nahra joins Ballast as a summer intern while pursuing his accounting degree at Auburn University. A rising senior, Jake has distinguished himself both academically and through his leadership on campus.

At Auburn, Jake serves as President of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and works as a tutor for the School of Accountancy, helping fellow students succeed in their studies.

Throughout his internship, Jake will gain experience across various areas of the firm while continuing to build the foundation for a successful career in financial services.

Brizia Palmer, Client Services Associate

We are also pleased to welcome Brizia Palmer as our newest Client Services Associate.

Brizia brings more than 15 years of experience in banking and financial services, along with a deep commitment to building meaningful client relationships. She began her career as a Personal Banker and steadily advanced into leadership roles, serving as a Branch Manager for the past five years before transitioning into the financial planning industry.

Her extensive experience helping clients navigate important financial decisions, combined with her dedication to exceptional service, makes her a natural fit for the Ballast team. Brizia is passionate about ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout every stage of their financial journey.

Originally from Ashland, Kentucky, Brizia now resides in Nicholasville. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family, traveling, attending concerts, and seeking out new adventures with her lab, Levon.

Please join us in welcoming Jake and Brizia to Ballast! We are thrilled to have them on the team.
