Kristopher Bowerman serves as a Systems Consultant for the Department of Criminal Justice Training located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in addition to serving the IT needs at Ballast.
Kris started at the Department of Criminal Justice Training as an undergraduate student intern in the Fall of 1996. During his tenure, he has held various positions related to the field of information systems at DOCJT and COT.
He recently completed the Office of the State School Marshal’s School Compliance Certification. He held an adjunct position at Midway College from 2010-2014 and currently holds adjunct positions at Eastern Kentucky University teaching in the areas of Information Systems, Information Systems Security, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments, Physical Security, and Criminal Justice. His consulting firm, Kentucky Systems Solutions, provides IT/IS services to firms in the financial and medical industry.
Kris holds a Master of Science degree in Loss Prevention and Safety from Eastern Kentucky University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Police Administration with a minor in Assets Protection Management from Eastern Kentucky University.
